Detailed description of our project goals and methodology

In May 2019, a borehole was drilled in Mtotora Village, under Traditional Authority Ngokwe in the Machinga district. The project, which was financially supported by Drop of Compassion (DoC), now provides clean and safe water to over 250 families in the community. This intervention has significantly improved public health and eased the daily burden of water collection for residents.

Challenges We Addressed

The problems our community faced before intervention

  • The community relied on unsafe water sources for drinking and washing.
  • Women had to travel long distances to find safe water.
  • The risk of waterborne diseases was very high.
