Detailed description of our project goals and methodology

In November 2019, a borehole was drilled in Lusani Village, Traditional Authority Chikulamayembe, in the Rumphi district, with financial support from Drop Of Compassion. This vital water source now serves over 2,000 people, providing them with clean, safe water and significantly improving sanitation and hygiene in the community.

Challenges We Addressed

The problems our community faced before intervention

  • The community used unsafe water for both drinking and domestic purposes.
  • People, especially women and children, had to walk long distances to fetch water.
  • The spread of waterborne diseases was very high.
