Detailed description of our project goals and methodology
In 2009, Mai Aisha Trust constructed Nangapoche Junior Primary School in Somba Village, Traditional Authority Bwananyambi, Mangochi district, with funding from the International Development Bank (IDB). The school officially opened its doors in January 2012. It serves students from Standard 1 to 8 and has a total enrollment of 1,276 pupils, including 608 boys and 668 girls, who are taught by 22 teachers. In addition to secular education, pupils also receive spiritual instruction at the on-site madrassah run by Bilal Trust. The school’s facilities include madrassah blocks, a kitchen, two boreholes, classrooms, and 13 staff houses.
