Detailed description of our project goals and methodology

In October 2018, Mai Aisha Trust drilled a borehole at Ntcheu Secondary School in Gumbu village, Traditional Authority Kwaitane, Ntcheu District. Funded by Drop of Compassion (DoC), this project provides clean and accessible water to over 3,000 beneficiaries, including students, teachers, and the surrounding community, significantly improving health and sanitation in the area.

Challenges We Addressed

The problems our community faced before intervention

  • Students and community members used unsafe water for drinking and washing.
  • Women and students traveled long distances to find safe water.
  • The risk of waterborne diseases was very high.
