MAT Successfully Distributes Over 6,000 Ramadhan Food Packs

In collaboration with Drop of Compassion, Global Relief Trust, One Ummah, Hassein, Akhirah Team, and Crisis Aid, Mai Aisha Trust distributed nearly 6,000 food packs benefiting more than 25,000 individuals across Blantyre, Mangochi, Balaka, and Chiradzulo districts during March and April 2024.

Each food pack contained essential items including maize flour, sugar, rice, beans, cooking oil, salt, and soya pieces—providing nutritious meals for families during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Program Objectives

This distribution initiative aimed to:

  • Provide nutritious meals to vulnerable families during the Ramadhan period
  • Support food security in underserved communities
  • Bring joy and relief to families facing economic hardship
  • Foster unity and compassion within communities

Community Response

The families who received food packs expressed profound gratitude for the support provided during this sacred month. Many beneficiaries noted that the assistance helped them focus on spiritual reflection while ensuring their families had adequate nutrition.
