On 23rd September Mai Aisha Trust with the help from One National donors we distributed food packs which contains 20kgs cream of maize, 2kgs sugar, 2 litres cooking oil, 2kgs salt and 10 packets of soya pieces to 178 families from Katuli village in Mangochi.
Considering this hunger period as most of the farmers lost their crops due to effect of cyclone Freddy that occurred in February this year.
The overall objective for this food distribution were:
- Provide food assistance to Tropical Cyclone affected families.
By providing the food aid, it will help the communities to rebuild their livelihood since the recurrence of cyclones and floods makes recovery gradually more difficult.
