With the generous support of donors from Drop of Compassion, Mai Aisha Trust distributed 47 bicycles to Village headmen, chiefs, and residents of Swala village in Machinga district on March 1, 2024. These bicycles have significantly improved transportation for individuals and the movement of goods within the district.

Challenges faced prior to the distribution of bicycles included:

• The distance between rural areas and service providers, making it difficult for residents to access necessary services on foot.

The distribution of bicycles has helped:

• To address mobility challenges among vulnerable groups
• To led to the development of bicycle taxi businesses, thereby improving the socio-economic status of rural communities.
