Build a Home Project

As the scale and intensity of disasters becomes more frequent in Malawi, linked to climate change and a degrading environment Drop of Compassion has been working to helping rural communities transition from emergency and relief assistance to longer term developments by addressing the primary factors that improve household vulnerability.

From June to September 2017 DoC through Mai Aisha Trust embarked on a project to construct 25 houses for some vulnerable families.

Female-headed households were given a priority since they experience higher poverty than those headed by men.
