Detailed description of our project goals and methodology
In 2017, Mai Aisha Trust constructed the Titukulane Irrigation Scheme in Mangochi with funding from Drop of Compassion (DoC), a UK-based charity. This one-hectare scheme supports a dedicated group of 18 farmers, consisting of 11 women and 7 men. The project benefits over 250 people in the wider community. Farmers in the scheme are actively cultivating crops such as maize, vegetables, and sweet potatoes, contributing to local food security and economic empowerment.
