Detailed description of our project goals and methodology

The Bee Keeping Project was introduced to create sustainable income-generating opportunities and promote proper forest management, fostering economic independence among rural communities. Implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Forest and Natural Resources, which provides technical support and capacity building, this initiative is supported by Drop of Compassion (DoC). The project operates in several villages within Mangochi, including Namwala, Namaning’a, Nsomba, and Mikundi, directly involving 50 farmers.

  • Farmers' living conditions have improved, with income from honey sales used for housing and school fees.
