In 2021, Mai Aisha Trust—with funding from Drop of Compassion and Akharahi team—distributed 224 goats (208 female and 16 male) across four villages (Ntwera, Mauwa, Limamu, and Nthundu) in Mangochi district.
Approximately 520 people benefit from this project.
How the project benefits villages:
- Goats serve as productive assets in farming, providing organic manure as cost-effective, sustainable fertilizer
- Improved food security through high-value protein from meat, often limited in poor families’ diets
- Income generation through selling offspring
