Following heavy winds and rain on Thursday, October 1st, 2015, roofs were blown off two school blocks—one at Nangapoche and another at Nkambiri. The incident caused substantial damage to both properties. Fortunately, no injuries or loss of life occurred as the incident happened after students had left for the day.
With increasing student enrollment, the immediate challenge is a shortage of classrooms. The school currently has 1,022 students but only two blocks containing four classrooms. This far exceeds the recommended teacher-to-student ratio of 1:60. This situation requires immediate attention for the construction of two additional school blocks.
