Heavy and windy rains blows off Nangapoche School roof

Following the windydown-pour on Thursday 1st October 2015, two school blocks, one at Nangapoche and another one at Nkambiri, had their roofs blown off. The incident caused a substantial amount of damage to the two properties. No loss of life or injury was reported as the incident occurred after the learners had knocked off.

With the increasing number of learners, the immediate challenge would be shortage of classrooms, currently the school has a total of 1,022 against two blocks of 4 class-rooms only. This is by far against the recommended teacher learner ratio of 1:60. This development would require immediate attention for the construction of two additional school blocks.
